Happy 3rd Birthday Livi!

We have had lots of family in town to attend my grandfathers funeral. So, we all got to celebrate my niece Olivia's 3rd birthday. What a wonderful event to celebrate a birth after a funeral. Happy Birthday Livi!

Disney Princesses everywhere! Pretty fun birthday haul for a three year old.

My brother and his cute family, minus Jacob... he was too busy eating to pose for the shot!

In Loving Memory

Funeral services were held this weekend for my Grandpa Taylor. He lived a long and full life in San Diego and passed comfortably lying next to his sweetheart. He was honored this past weekend with all of his family as we gathered for the funeral and graveside services.

Matt was a pallbearer at the funeral along with eight other grandsons.

Folding the flag after it rested on the casket. It was a very reverent and solemn few minutes as they carefully folded each section.

The Marines then honored my grandma with this flag in honor of my grandpa's service to our country.

After the funeral and graveside service, there was a beautifully prepared luncheon at the home of my Uncle Dave and Aunt Cathy in San Diego. Anna had just woken up, but at least she was giving the camera a wave.

Happy Halloween 2009!

So far our Halloween celebrations have included missing the Ward Halloween party last night because of contractions and lying in bed all of today because of contractions.
Matt plans to take Anna out this evening for a little trick-or-treating. Let's pray she gets some good candy and our son does not have a Halloween birthday.

Backyard Halloween BBQ

Matt and I wanted to have one last ward get together before Delivery Day. We decided on a Halloween theme BBQ in the backyard, taking advantage of the perfect CA weather. We had such a great turn-out on Saturday and had a blast chatting with so many good friends! Thanks to all for attending, you made the party fun!

Baby Shower Highlights

"It's A Boy" decor and Crab Cooker soup with croissant sandwich dinner buffet. I think I went back to nibble three different times during the night.

Such beautifully wrapped gifts! After the shower, Anna had a blast pulling out each item and exclaiming, "Oooohhhhh." She loved every one of them!

The party-goers! I was so blessed to be surrounded by ward members, neighbors, my Young Women, and good friends.

Opening presents galore! I received such lovely gifts, everyone was so generous and thoughtful.
Thanks Mom for being such an awesome hostess!

Hospital Stay at 32 Weeks

My doctor sent me to Labor and Delivery Tuesday to be put on a monitor to see if I was in Pre-Term labor. Learning that the contractions were 4-7 minutes apart was pretty shocking.

After several tests, and four hours of monitoring, I was sent home with confidence that I will not be deliverying this baby in the next 2 weeks. I am not on bed rest, but cannot be on my feet for longer than 20 minutes or they start again.

Please keep us in your prayers that Matt's first son will not be 6 weeks early like he was.

Hillary Came to Visit!

Hill was roommate at BYU-Idaho and a close friend of mine and Matt's. She flew down from BYU-Idaho where she teaches, to soak up some sun. We started the weekend off right with a pedicure and some shopping.
